Overview
The Investment Team has been structured since 1993 within the former BNP's proprietary private equity investment department, Banexi (Banque pour l'Expansion Industrielle) one of France's pioneering private equity houses, focusing on middle market investments. The Team invested €160 million from 1993 to 1999 on the balance sheet of BNP Group.
Azulis Capital was launched in 2000 to manage private equity investment programmes funded by third parties. Its first independent private equity fund, MMFII, was launched the same year with a total commitment of €165 million. This was followed by MMF III, launched in 2005, with a total commitment of €265 million.
Since MMF III's launch, the Team has taken control of Azulis Capital, the management company, and while maintaining its historical working relationship with BNP Paribas network.
In 2008, the Team launched a successor fund, MMF IV.
