Overview

The Investment Team has been built up since 1993, first within the former BNP’s proprietary private equity investment department, Banexi (Banque pour l'Expansion Industrielle) — one of France's pioneering private equity houses — focusing on middle market investments. Banexi provided the equity stakes taken in mid-cap companies on behalf of the BNP. From 1993 to 1999 all the investments made by the Team, totalling €160 million, were made for the BNP Group.

Azulis Capital was spun-off in 2000 to manage third party private equity investment programmes. Its first independent private equity fund, the FPCI MMF II, was launched that year. This was followed by MMF III launched in 2005.

With MMF III’s launch, the Founding Partner Team took control of Azulis Capital, the management company, while maintaining its historic working relationship with BNP Paribas network.

In 2010, the Team launched a successor fund, MMF IV.
